Web search co SimilarGroup raises $1m
Investors include Dr. Yossi Vardi and Docor International.

SimilarGroup Ltd. has raised $1 million in its first financing round from Docor International BV, Naftali Investments, Dr. Yossi Vardi, and other private investors.

Or Offer and Nir Cohen founded SimilarGroup in 2007. The company's technology uses algorithms it developed to facilitate access to relevant online content. The start-up's SimilarSites search engine allows users to find alternatives for any web site. The company also produces a TopSite website, which lists the top ten websites for any category.
